Summary In this Holiday Safety Segment of America's Most Wanted, Lauren (Lauren Jacobs) is enjoying a Christmas party in her home,as her parents (Joe Clark; Rebecca Compton) greet guests, and everyone mingles. Her cousin arrives with her new boyfriend (Chaney Tullos), and after Lauren's enthusiastic greeting, she is encouraged to give him a hug as well. Of course, because she adores her older cousin, she complies, as he looks nice enough! Lauren embraces the boyfriend with the same warmth she did her cousin. Susan Clark narrates, warning us about strangers she refers to as "kinda knows". Cut to Lauren happily playing with her American Girl doll in her bedroom when the boyfriend enters and closes the door. He asks her if she can keep a secret. Lauren's warm friendly smile suddenly changes to a look of concern, confusion and discomfort as the boyfriend asks if she can show him her doll doll collection. Lauren, glancing between the boyfriend and the door, quickly decides to get out of the situation and responds, "Um, I think I'm going to get some pie" and flees the room. The point of all this being to keep an eye on our kids when we have "kinda knows" in our home, as is often the situation at gatherings such as these.
