When also Mrs Polacich recognizes him as her husband a process is set up. Italian audience is literally shared in two parties supporting one or the other family. Mrs. Ballerini will succeed anyway to come back together with her presumed husband and escape with him to Brazil. Years later also the Vatican will recognize their two children as 'legally conceived' under catholic laws.
