Estelle Delmas, his girlfriend, is a suspect: she had been engaged before, but the wedding was cancelled. Etienne's mother informs that he was a homeless in the past and thus banned by his girlfriend's family. This can be Paul's last case in the Brigade, for he will be transferred from Marseille to another Gendarmerie station, outside the region.
