Ronnie Becker is the first suspect, having hidden even from his wife to have lost all possessions, even the title to the house, but his corpse is found with the sunk boat, murdered, no suicide. Fearing for the missing, possibly surviving kin, the team looks on, notably with the apparently silent neighbors, Daniel Wittbusch and his wife and daughter who bonded with jenny viz. Lotta.
