Summary Robert Brand's hunting mates shoot to stop a tractor which nearly runs over him, but the driver, his brother-in-law farmer Peter Dahlke, is dead behind the wheel, shot by a hidden third party murderer. Dahlke's sister Lisa never registered as their late father's co-heir so she was merely allowed to live with him on the farm. Peter Dahlks also seems to have a mysterious girl friend, probably adulterous.
