The two of them have a tough nut to crack with Thea Stoll, the murdered man's ex-wife, and her two adult foster children Anna and Nico. Everyone gives an alibi for the time of the crime, which the new forensic pathologist Dr Phillipp Hartmann has determined. But Beissl learns some official secrets at a secret meeting with Mrs Maierhofer. The amateur detective bribes her colleague Rudi with a bottle of wine that her supervisor Grosser gave her to give her video recordings of the town hall from the day of the crime. The murdered man wanted to collect money from the Bavarian resettlement fund for his farm, which was threatened by flooding and in which his ex-wife and foster children lived. This would have deprived Thea and her children of their livelihood. A strong motive. It becomes even stronger when the new detective secretly follows the two young farm residents - to pregnancy counseling. If Beissl still finishes work on time, it is because of his unexpected new time together with his wife Elisabeth. The youngest child, Eva, has set off for Amrum to save the world. Bene surprises his wife with a home-made meal. If only there weren't the annoying interruptions: Johanna falls off her bike on the way to her parents - after Beissl had just sung her grandchild to sleep on the phone.
