The Trojan Horse by Eric Paice;
source 1968 BBC 1 Television Play Synopsis; The trial is about to start - the culmination of police efforts to bring to justice a gangster called Simmons. At its first adjournment a juror, Price, an hotel owner, is followed to his home by 2 men one whom is called Oliver ............... the case is all about Simmons harbouring an escaped prisoner called Bedford in his flat..... it all involves bribery and corruption to the jury and Price with his girlfriend not wife having money paid into his account without his knowledge...Sgt Andy Crawford & Det Const Lauderdale (Laudy) are involved in sorting it all out and it turns out that 3 jury members have been bribed so a mis trial is called and a smirking Simmons leaves the dock smirking.........Dixon saves the day when Dixon enters Prices home looking for stolen Whisky and discovers Oliver and Bedford waiting there!
