Summary Peter Gast, a professional burglar is visiting this night the apartment of Ludmilla Gerber and has found some jewels.At the same time an old lady called Wendrich has noticed a noise and has called the police.Two patrolmen have arrived, but they didn't notice anything.Suddenly Peter Gast makes a terrific discovery , the corpse of a young woman lying on the ground.He gets injured by a knife which was near the corpse and begins to run outside the building directly to the patrol car which came back some minutes ago.The patrolmen arrested him.Leo Kress has arrived with his team, the woman, Ludmilla Gerber, has been stabbed to death, the police finds a kitchen knife full of blood.Peter Gast denies that he had murdered the woman.
