Summary At midnight Mr. Anton Reitinger listens to a shot in the villa of his neighbors: first he tries to phone there,but nobody answers.Then he goes to the house of the Lambert (a car was going away from the house), the wife Britta opens the door and Mr. Reitinger asks what does happen.Britta shows the corpse of her husband, Max Lambert.Mr. Reitinger called then the police.The Dr. Schneider arrives some minutes later and sees that his client is dead.Some months ago Max Lambert was driving drunken his car and shocked against a tree, his own son died in the ambulance which carried him to the hospital.When Leo Kress arrives Britta explained that his husband was very anxious, she gave him a sedative but he began to shout and killed himself.The Dr. Schneider explains the case of his client who once after the accident became blind (a mental trouble) and recovered the sight,but this night Max had a relapse and became blind .Konrad Lambert explains Leo Kress that he has taken off the bullets from the revolver of his brother to avoid a tragedy.Now there is a confusion about the bullets that Max was keeping in a box.
