Summary Gerti Wallner has gone to the supermarket and has bought some food for the family.At home Erna Wallner , the mother of Gerti and grandmother of Peter Wallner is very bad tempered.Peter Wallner is a drug addict , he needs always money and his brother, Hansi Wallner, is in jail because he has attacked a bank.Peter says that he only can eat pickles, he opens the glass of pickles and eats one.Immediately he feels convulsions and dies.Leo Kress and his team arrive at the apartment of the family,the medical examiner says that Peter has been poisoned by potassium cyanide.Leo Kress asks Gerti where she bought the pickles.Leo Kress goes to the supermarket and speaks with the manager Werner Meridit who shows him an anonymous letter .The extortionist wants 100.000 DM.Leo Kress is quite angry because Werner Meridit received this letter two weeks ago and didn't notice it to the police.
