Summary In Rosenheim"s fancy Hotel Bergkamm lodges the in-crowd for winter sport and wellness, and now stingy Anton Stadler as a birthday present to his nosy wife Hilde, who alas refuses to stay out when a murder occurs there. Jeweler Hans-Christian Treuleben was skull-smashed in a suite where he gave private presentations to rich guests, Hansen and Hofer are officially assigned the case, so Hilde insists meeting the team and reporting every probably uninteresting detail on anybody. Last in Treulebens' suite was wealthy client Elke Baum, who hid an affair with him, as well as with hunky ski instructor Alois "Elvis" Stockhammer, who got a black eye that night. Hotel manager Katharina Haberl stole part of the commission from her employer, which Treuleben could expose. Treuleben's assistant Theresa Lombardi covered up his insurance fraud with fake colliers, stolen half a year ago at a demonstration in the same hotel. Elke's husband Arnold Baum stayed under a false name, probably knowing about her affair, and her socialite buddy Cora Brixner reveals the Baums were virtually broke. 85 000 Euro in cash is missing from Treuleben's sales. Hotel critic Jonas Jordan mysteriously taunts Maximilian Kranich, who retired from concert violin stardom ten years ago and now dates precinct secretary Stockl while her boss Achtziger and Marie Hofer and Polizeichef dream of booking his comeback in the music academy, but they're all in for relevant surprises.
