Summary Rich, childless entrepreneur's widow Marianne Kubich was found in her villa living-room, poisoned by aconite in her daily brandy. Her three different testaments yield obvious suspects: notary Manfred Reck verifies hand-written versions in favor of gardener Jonas Lehmann, housekeeper Lydia Steinbrink, both apparently expecting posthumous compensation for very meager salaries, but also and latest, hence validly, senior friend Inge Alshoff, who fires both and plans to sell the villa to pay her gambling debts. In Korbinian and Stadler's absence, Hansen must try out teaming up with inexperienced, undisciplined detective Ludwig Loibl, who moonlights as Hofers' carpenter. The music academy loses a sponsor in Kubich, but gets a nice legate. The printer contains the key.
