Summary It is the day of the mayoral election. Hermann, his singing brother, lies dead behind the Aubach Inn. In his hand he holds a ballot paper that has already been filled out - for Zielonka. Could the murder have been politically motivated? Heike has decided that a new wind should blow in Hengasch and so she supports Jan Schulte, who then wins the election. Zielonka is seething with rage and suspects election fraud, and the whole situation is rather stressful for Dietmar too, because he is caught between a rock and a hard place, or rather between "pussy" and his old boss. Sophie takes care of the case, but she simply doesn't get any further with her research into the men's choir led by Volker Mauck. Finally, Sophie finds out that Hermann's supposed brother Pit was actually his life partner. The two smart sheep farmers had built a new life for themselves as a secret gay couple in Hengasch. Then Hermann started an affair with choir director Volker and Pit got wind of it. Sophie and Kauth are actually back together, even if they pretend to each other that this is not the case. And certainly not to the outside world, because neither of them wants people to gossip about them. Actually, everything would be fine if it weren't for Kauth's slight jealousy of Schulte, who Sophie seems to be very interested in. Bärbel, on the other hand, has decided to have the child no matter what. But she doesn't yet know what to do with Timo.
