Summary Professor Indiana Jones visits the Metropolitan Foundation for Educational Quality where the Annual Celebrity tennis shoe auction and dinner is being held. He begins to entertain the snobby people at his table by recounting a safari to British East Africa in 1909. There, Indy became determined to find the fabled Fringe-Eared Oryx for former US President Teddy Roosevelt. He befriended Meto, a Massai boy around the same age as himself at the time. Despite their language barrier, they find out where to find the last remaining Oryx.
