Summary Stephan Derrick and Harry Klein remember the case of Lothar Bruns: an armored truck was stopped in a street, a man disguised as policeman shot against the two security guards and the three robbers went away.Some days later Derrick received an anonymous call telling him the name of of Lothar Bruns ; they went to his apartment and found the uniform and the weapon of the crime.The two other accomplices managed to escape from a sentence.Lothar Bruns received a life sentence.Now after 10 years of jail Lothar will be released because he has become nearly blind.Derrick has a meeting in the jail with Lothar who tells him that they have common interests and that Derrick must let him go without shadowing.Derrick and Harry are thinking that Lothar will settle his accounts with his former accomplices.As Lothar needs a housekeeper, Derrick and Klein proposes the young policewoman Gabriele Dressler to go undercover as housekeeper for Lothar and to inform them about the moves of Lothar.
