Summary When a fence is arrested, McCabe assigns the case to Trish, one of his best prosecuting attorneys. The crook upon being informed by his lawyer that he doesn't have much of a defense, with the help of two other accomplices, first offer Trish a bribe to throw the case. When she balks, they kidnap her 7-year-old son to use as leverage against her. When the case goes to trial, something mysteriously goes wrong with key pieces of evidence.
