Summary Bridget is still on edge following her horrific encounter with Joe Fallon. An enraged Vinnie refuses to sit idly by and let Fallon go unpunished, but Bridget insists they need to be smarter than the loan shark and hit him where it hurts most. The strain of leading a murder investigation is finally catching up with Nikki who is under immense scrutiny from Superintendent Kevin Dunne. Weeks have passed and she's no closer to catching Brian's murderer. Dunne is growing increasingly frustrated with Nikki's lead on the case, putting pressure on her to get results, sooner rather than later. If she doesn't step up her game, Dunne threatens that he will be left with no other choice but to pass on the investigation to another station. To top everything off, McKay's official memorial photograph has finally arrived. Nikki has had the legacy of Superintendent James McKay to live up to since his death. The last thing she needs now is him literally looking down on her as she struggles to keep everything together. Nikki isn't the only one facing harsh scrutiny. Rory's led all the interviews in the murder investigation without any proper progress so far. He's putting unnecessary pressure on suspects, without any real results. A dressing down from Nikki lands him with a reassignment to another case, wiping the smug look off his face much to the joy of rival Sean. However, while Rory's failed to impress Nikki, Dunne is more than pleased with the lengths Rory has been going to in order to crack the case...
