Summary Commandant Rocher is summoned to college following a fight involving his son Lucas, who was defending Eliott Baroin, one of his schoolmates, from a bully. An alarm goes off in the school when Eliott attempts suicide, but Rocher manages in extremis to prevent him from jumping from the roof of the college and brings him home to discover that his mother, Carine Baroin, 46, has been dead at his home for ten days.
