Based on the true story of Operation Carwash, the largest and most successful corruption investigation ever seen in the world, "No One is Above the Law" tells, through the eyes of Detective Investigator Ivan, the story of how he and his team at the Brazilian Federal Police, working with the Brazilian Federal Attorneys were able to reveal and dismantle an intricate scheme of money laundering, graft, theft, corruption and bribery involving executives at Petrobrás, (the Brazilian National Oil Company), government contractors, political parties, and politicians at all levels of government - including both houses of congress, cabinet secretaries, and the current and former presidents of Brazil. Exciting and action packed, the movie reveals unbelievable details of the conflicts and dangers faced by the investigators, the roadblocks thrown to thwart the operation, and the crucial role of the Federal Judge who withstood the greatest of pressures to keep the politicians from destroying their case and coming away scott free. We follow Ivan and his team through the step-by-step investigative process that transformed what started as an investigation on drug dealers and money launderers into a movement to combat the backbone of corruption in the country, leading straight to the doorstep of the most powerful politician in the country - the ex-President Luís Inácio "Lula" da Silva. Amidst strictly enforced curfew by Bombay Police during December 1992 following Hindu-Muslim riots, Suryakant - one of four siblings from Malad's Malvani slums, heads home. While doing so, he reflects on his childhood; his sisters: Devi and Rajni; brother Chandrakant; his dad, Shashikant, as well his mother; his expertise with the Carrom-board; run-ins with extortionist-goon, Jaleel Khan; his friendship with Zaid Khan; his crush on Noorie as well as his plans to find employment in Dubai; why he could not attend Devi's marriage, as well as the tragedy that awaits him.

In Bombay a series of kidnapping takes place and many young women go missing. The police force is also not doing much to stop this until Arjun Verma is assigned to the case.During the investigation it is found that a man behind the kidnappings is Auto Kesariya .Further investigation reveals that all the missing women have been killed after their kidneys have been removed and many skeletons are found during this phase.Arjun's fiance Geeta is also untraceable during the phase when she ditches him on the wedding day.The case doesn't seem to be as simple as it looks as it a huge organ trafficking racket run by Dr Amir Khurana.

Based on a book about an infamous real scandal in the Dutch crime scene, the film aims at exposing the horrors caused by corruption on both sides of the law. A rookie policeman is coerced into obtaining secret information from a childhood friend turned gangster. The childhood friend turns informant. But his revelations are hardly the most important "leaks" in the story. In fact, the new relationship between old friends goes all wrong, and the young policeman becomes increasingly involved in a deadly web of lies, crimes, treason, and revenge, all seemingly out of control.
