Summary Serial rape prime suspect Alan Kennedy finds the net is closing in around him, but CID are not impressed when several raids - on his flat, his allotment, and his deceased mother's house - fail to turn up any leads. Nixon discovers a link to falconry, and a raid on the local falconry society leads to Kennedy's arrest. Fox warns that more than just forensic evidence is needed to prosecute Kennedy, and reluctant witness Khadija Miah is brought into the station to identify him as her assailant. However, when Khadija runs into Kent, Young realizes she could lose her job over the fact that she may have "tainted" the witness by showing her Kent's photograph. Tait's job is also on the line after his attack on Kent.
