Summary Clem has just got a kit to learn how to become a detective, complete with a Sherlock Holmes hat and magnifying glass. Sheriff Duffy (Jan Arvan) stops by with a Wanted poster for the Dalton girls and warns him that they are dangerous and desperate, which gives Clem some hope that they will fall for him. In the barn Clem collects eggs from the chickens and also a giant egg from his cow. The gang of 4 Daltons come by and hide in Clem's barn. When Clem finally realizes that they are the criminal gang that the sheriff has warned him about, he tries to call the sheriff, but has trouble reaching the phone because the women have restrained him with a rope. He the uses the rope to wrap it around the barn to keep them from escaping. But they come out and Clem ties them up just as the sheriff arrives and arrests them.
