Retour en chaîne

Summary This is the first (and last?) episode in which all three sisters (Claire, Karen and Stéphanie) appear together.

Marc had left Stéphanie - he needed freedom - and gone to South America. The episode begins with Claire coming back days early from a symposium. Her son is disappointed as he found it "cool" living with just Sabine.

With Claire, Stéphanie and Sabine in the "girls'" flat (appartment) there is a knock on the door - it's Marc. He tells Stéphanie that he didn't even get out of the 'plane - he came straight back as he couldn't live without her. Stéphanie forgives him with Claire urging her to leave him. Stéphanie shouts at Claire saying that, for once, she wishes to work out her own problems by herself.

She moves back in with Marc when there is a knock on the door - it's Karen, who didn't know that her younger sister had moved in with Marc when she left him. When Stéphanie tells her that she is now with Marc; Karen is very upset. Marc notices her stomach and remarks that she has "filled out" a bit. Karen replies that she is pregnant and then goes to Claire's flat.

Claire, Sabine and Karen are chatting, initially Karen says that the baby is her husband's but later on that it could possibly be Marc's. Stéphanie then comes in to say that she has definitively left Marc. They discuss who would make the best father for the unborn child when there is a series of knocks on the door. It's Marc who calls out their names, one after another saying that he has something important to tell them. Finally Sabine lets him in and he says that he is not a man to not to stand up to his responsibilities - he will marry Karen.

Then Gérard arrives with his siamese cat in a basket, saying, "You know how I thought that Danièle* was ill, well it turns out that she is pregnant; that's wonderful. The only problem is that I don't know who the father is!" (*Danièle is the name of his cat, named after Daniel Green in "Les Filles d'à Côté) whereupon all the actors give typical sitcom looks.
