Summary
This episode and the following ones show Marc forming a relationship with the third, youngest, Garnier sister. Although the maiden surname of Claire, Karen and Stéphanie never appears in the credits, it is mentioned in episode 28: La femme de Marc. He had already lived with Karen from episode 6: La septième symphonie to episode 18: Rupture. He had also had a very brief affair with Claire in Les Filles d'à côté "between" episodes 168 and 169.
Claire goes "bananas" at the news and tries to break up the couple over the following episodes; she had already been the cause of Karen leaving Marc.
When Stéphanie arrived, shortly after Karen left, and asked if she could stay: Claire and Sabine accepted. Marc helped her out with her luggage and they fell in love in the lift (elevator). Shortly later her "fiancé", Benoît de la Rocambrière, a French count, arrives and is disgusted to find her involved with a person like Marc, Claire pushes him to fight so he ends up challenging Marc to a sword combat.
Just as the battle is about to commence Benoît pulles out and leaves, his arm around Sabine.
