Summary In the weeks following Danny's birth, it's apparent that Tracy has become obsessed with him. When Dr. Roberts encourages her to take some time for herself, Tracy reluctantly agrees to a date with Rick after her mom offers to care for the baby. However, it only takes one night for Celia to grow tired of her daughter's incessant worrying, forcing Tracy to look for a babysitter. And once she discovers that other mothers aren't willing to share, Tracy turns to the classified ads and finds Jennifer. After hearing some of Charlotte's own grisly childcare tales, Tracy is less than comfortable leaving Danny with a stranger. To test the new sitter's abilities, she secretly takes the baby along on her date with Rick, only to arrive home to find that Jennifer called the police once she noticed that Danny was missing. After explaining herself, Tracy leaves Danny with Jennifer and resumes her date with Rick, only to discover that every other mother at the restaurant has her own childcare horror story. And when Charlotte fails to provide any comfort, Tracy tries to find out more about Jennifer, but gets caught sneaking a look inside her handbag. Following Tracy's apology, Jennifer agrees to continue working. Yet still uncomfortable, Tracy hires a detective to follow her. When Jennifer suspects that someone is trying to kidnap Danny, she calls the police again. Following another uncomfortable confrontation with the law, Jennifer suggests finding another babysitter she can trust, only to have Tracy finally convince her to give it another chance.
