Summary Samantha has a pet hamster and calls it Uncle Derek,due to its facial resemblance to her father's business partner. The hamster gets ill and,when Fergus overhears Samantha bewailing the fact that 'Poor old Uncle Derek might die',he gets the wrong idea. Derek himself has back pains and is not cheered to hear Fergus's condolences. Preparing for the worst he signs over his partnership to Fergus and is not best pleased when the truth comes out and he is revealed to be in no danger from dying but given Fergus his share of the business.
