Delusional, innocent, and a little dim, 25-year old Quentin Burrows moves from LA to the Sierra Nevada mountains, positive he is about to ignite his own California Gold Rush. He soon discovers his new hometown is the real gem, full of eccentric characters and a unique history. However, some of its bizarre locals might not be too happy with his mission, and will even go out of their way to ensure his failure.

The eve of the new year. Someone is preparing for the holiday, and someone at work. Major Novikov (the main character) finds himself in an unpleasant situation and now only his ingenuity will solve all problems. In the department, and not only, things are not going well either. Robbers - Black, Gray and Small are going to escape and ruin the holiday for the rest. Nothing remains until the eve, and everyone's dilemmas are just beginning to grow.
