S4.E17 ∙ Love Means Constantly Having to Say You're Sorry

As a former gang member, Ichiban was witness to the worst side of the emergency medical system and vowed to become a doctor to change it. With the aggressive passion he learned on the streets, Ichiban has worked his way to becoming a no-nonsense emergency medicine resident. But it is this same passion that he must learn to control when confronted with a situation that is beyond his help.

Shi Hao Ran (Jeanette Aw) and Xu Wen Qian (Yvonne Lim) get acquainted on their first day of work with the ambulance unit after they save a woman suffering from appendicitis and a young man from head injury. Hao Ran's father is a famous cardiologist who hopes for her to be a doctor, but she chooses to work as an ambulance medic. A young Wen Qian witnessed the ambulance crew's relentless effort to save her mother and henceforth aspired to be one. Hao Ran's brother, Zhe Ming (Pierre Png), is a doctor at the emergency unit and likes Wen Qian. Huang Yi Xun (Ping Hui Tay) joins the ambulance unit and sees it as yet another job, incurring the dislike of Hao Ran. She changes her mind when she realizes that he is kindhearted and takes good care of old folks. On a daily basis, the ambulance crew is faced with many cases, while some appreciates their work, others vent their anger on them. This fast-paced drama follows the dedicated ambulance crew about their daily life and witnesses the split-second decisions they have to make to save a life.

Neurosurgeon Inna Loseva returns to her small hometown to help her mother. She begins working at the local Eighth Precinct Clinic, and soon finds herself entangled its many intrigues.

Set in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department of a university hospital. Hiragi Nachi is a reserved obstetrician, who is in her fifth year of working as a C-section surgeon in the maternity ward of the hospital. Because of a traumatic incident, she follows a philosophy of preserving life and would never abandon her patients even if it means taking on high risks. One night, while working the graveyard shift, Nachi performs a risky emergency cesarean section. However, when the patient dies from severe blood loss, the woman's family files a lawsuit against Nachi claiming malpractice.
