Somewhere Confidential follows Detective Guthrie Hayward on a circuitous bender that leads him through the dregs of society and his only friends are his hop-head siblings and his dingo accountant. One of the train passengers loses her jacket and with it her passport, using which she wanted to go abroad on tour. Two stowaways travelling to Leningrad to study pretend to be police officers and start an "investigation".

The crew of a space freighter picks up a mutated jazz musician who got lost in space. What they don't know is that two dangerous criminals are after him. They hijack the ship and take the crew hostage. The crew comes up with a plan.
