Summary The Star Sheriffs are assigned to investigate a business tycoon named Maddox, who is believed to be working for the Outriders. Saber, Colt, and Fireball go undercover as a trio of drifters. They get into a fake bar fight, which catches the attention of Maddox's foreman. The foreman gets them hired with Maddox's operation. As they head back to their hotel, the foreman reveals that he is also an agent of Cavalry Command. Later that evening, someone takes a shot at Fireball through the window of the hotel room. The Star Sheriffs give chase, and find Maddox and his men waiting for them. He's also captured April and RAMROD.
