Summary Wizard Eva Starling alerts Ursula to a huge crater in the woods and believes that hostile magical beings are trying to slip through from the Netherside. In fact it is a Nekross ship, which has crashed releasing dozens of tracker bugs which hunt down and imprison wizards, Eva included, on their ship. Tom is suspicious when Benny is invited to assist eccentric scientist Adam Wright at the Brock Mill radio telescope and with good cause as Adam is a disguise for Nekross Jathro, who wants to prove his superiority to Varg and destroy the Earth.
