S10.E26 ∙ Norm of the North

Uncared for by the community, Rick, recently mad, is looking for somewhere warm to commit suicide. Instead he finds George, a downtrodden doormat of a man, recently separated. In turn they stumble upon the embittered, man-mountain that is Joe, recently bereaved. One game of pool and several drinks later these three disparate men are thrown together on a journey no-one wants to take, to a destination no-one believes exists, chased by a man no-one should meet. Then there's the Hippies, George's ex-wife, a robbery, drugs, amputation, muggings, Brownies, the Police, explosions and this really, really gorgeous girl.

Alex arrives in a small town to audit the largest employer, Turnbull Chemicals. All the hotel rooms are full with a convention, so he stays at the run-down Michelle Apartments, in the room of a woman who had just died. He is attracted to Madeleine in the apartment above, until he discovers she has a maniacal husband.

Set in a tough city in the world of film-noir, a hapless and meek young loner is misguided down a tragic path when he is deceived into seeking an urn for his recently deceased dog.

Because of a doctor's strike, Ivan is released a day early from an alcoholic treatment program. He returns to his wife Sonja and his 16-year-old son Robi. His first afternoon at home is pleasant. The next morning, Sonja sends him to a shop to get bread and milk. On the way back Ivan runs into Armando, his high-school classmate, and through their conversation at a bar, Ivan finds out that long before Sonja became his wife, Armando spent a night with her. Ivan has his first drop of the hard stuff...Kruh in mleko is a bitter-sweet tale of loneliness, estrangement, and the glowing embers of love that once was a fire.
