Shi Hao Ran (Jeanette Aw) and Xu Wen Qian (Yvonne Lim) get acquainted on their first day of work with the ambulance unit after they save a woman suffering from appendicitis and a young man from head injury. Hao Ran's father is a famous cardiologist who hopes for her to be a doctor, but she chooses to work as an ambulance medic. A young Wen Qian witnessed the ambulance crew's relentless effort to save her mother and henceforth aspired to be one. Hao Ran's brother, Zhe Ming (Pierre Png), is a doctor at the emergency unit and likes Wen Qian. Huang Yi Xun (Ping Hui Tay) joins the ambulance unit and sees it as yet another job, incurring the dislike of Hao Ran. She changes her mind when she realizes that he is kindhearted and takes good care of old folks. On a daily basis, the ambulance crew is faced with many cases, while some appreciates their work, others vent their anger on them. This fast-paced drama follows the dedicated ambulance crew about their daily life and witnesses the split-second decisions they have to make to save a life.

Yeo Wook is a first-year neurosurgeon at Seoul Korea Hospital. Born with intelligence and into a wealthy family, he is called "his egocentric highness" because of his arrogance. But he has compassionate love in his heart and is determined to conquer the brain by becoming the best surgeon. Hae Jo is a competent and passionate first-year neurosurgeon in the same hospital. Yeo Wook runs into Hae Jo when he visits the emergency room of a rural hospital and gets into an argument with her about how to treat patient. Eun Hyun is a cold, workaholic fourth-year chief neurosurgeon surrounded by an aura of mystery. He becomes more and more interested in Hae Jo, who continues to grow by overcoming various problems. Tae Jin, Yeo Wook's father, is a great neurosurgeon, who is also faithful to his family as a considerate father and husband. He is respected as a 'living saint' for proactively operating on patients without family or friends, but he believes that even his wife can be subjected to an experiment to construct a complete map of the human brain. As the long-buried secret around Tae Jin starts to unveil, the young neurosurgeons are swept away by fate.

Reiji Mano is a forensic science researcher at the Scientific Research Laboratory in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. He is good at his job, possessing a vast amount of knowledge and having excellent technique. He does not cooperate with others. When he works on a case, he excludes subjective views and speculation. Reiji hates the media and their thirst for sensational news. When he was a child, Reiji experience a terrible case. He has looked for the truth in that case. Nonna Sawaguchi is a rookie forensic science researcher. She begins to work with Reiji. Because of their work together, Reiji begins to open his mind to others and Nonna grows up as a forensic science researcher.

When doctor Tsukumo is fired following a medical mishap his medical university professor recommends that he starts anew at a for profit business called Miki Clinic. This clinic is staffed with young and proficient doctors who are experts in their field, but also opinionated and strong-willed. The clinic works holistically on the mind and the body of its well-to-do patients. The clinic also has a secret.

A doctor's work is never done. Especially when you're Haruki Morita (Takumi Saito), a dedicated surgeon who always puts the needs of his patients first, even at the expense of forgoing any kind of a personal life. But Haruki's selfless pre-occupation with his work puts him at odds with the university hospital's profit-minded system as well as his fellow doctors.
