But Fracasse doesn't give up so easily, especially once he learns that his old enemy Vallombreuse is behind the crime. The young heir of Marsante survives the fire, along with the family seal. The lad thus becomes the center of a struggle between Vallombreuse's henchmen and the troupe, led by Fracasse.
