Summary Joaquín, Javier's father and the hospital's director, is making absurd decisions and important mistakes in his management. Everybody notices, and after several meetings between the different service bosses, he's fired. Javier tries to make him accept his illness and firing, but he denies the situation; however, he presents his resignation after his firing goes into effect. Esther is going through a very bad time but has Raúl's help; he talks with Maca to try to solve things. She doesn't hear him, but she tells Esther that she can see their son Pedro whenever she wants. Raúl is also worried about his sister's disappearance. Tomás tells him that there is progress: they have found Marina's wallet. Aimé and Héctor tell each other their problems: the first saw Claudia, whom he loves, kissing another man; the second has problems with his new, complete-disaster flatmate Alicia. Teresa thinks that her husband has problems at work and is hiding something from her. Planning their wedding, Laura wonders about inviting her ex Javier and his new partner Mónica, and Carlos returns to jail for giving his father Ricardo a second chance. Vilches and Cruz argue about how to treat her ex-husband's ill son; finally she saves the baby's life and Samuel tries to kiss her again, but she refuses and apologizes to Vilches for her behavior of the past several days.
