Summary Fritzi and Sophie miss each other terribly. One night, Kati, Sophie, Rocco, and Ecki try to escape from a campsite in Hungary and cross the border to the West. They search for a way through the tightly guarded border fence, but then everything takes an unexpected turn. Back in Leipzig, on the first day of school, Fritzi realizes that Sophie won't be coming back-and she makes a risky plan. At the very least, she's going to bring Sputnik to her friend.
