Summary Sparkles' day is livened up by a mischievous intruder when she is left at home alone. At first bored, she cheers herself up by creating a sock puppet named Stripey. Meanwhile a mouse pays a visit to the Star House and finds a cosy hiding place inside the puppet. Sparkles is very surprised when, as if by magic, her puppet appears to move all by itself.
