Summary Rudi and Trudi are flying through stormy skies when they spot a beautiful castle and decide to shelter there. Rudi knocks on the door and the pair decide to go in. Inside, the castle is magnificent and there is a party going on. Rudi and Trudi decide to join in. Princess Wendy Wide-awake introduces herself to them, as does Samuel. Samuel tells Rudi and Trudi that Wendy has cast a spell over the entire castle, so that no-one can ever go to sleep and her party will never be over. Samuel tells them that to break the spell they must find the Bedtime Story Book and read Wendy a story. Once Wendy is asleep the spell will be broken. Rudi and Trudi start to search the castle but only find sleepy servants. The servants help them with their search. Princess Wendy finds Rudi and Trudi and offers to take them on a guided tour of the castle. Rudi and Trudi decide to continue their secret search whilst on the tour. The only room left is the ballroom, but they won't be able to search it with Wendy watching over them. Suddenly Trudi realises that the clock doesn't chime and asks Wendy about it. Wendy looks very shifty and rushes Trudi off to help the Princess change.
