Summary Rudi and Trudi are flying through stormy skies above the sea when they spot a jagged island in the distance. Rudi heads for a cave and they both stop for a snooze. The pair are awakened by the sound of eggs cracking. Inside the eggs are baby dinosaurs with wings which Rudi and Trudi name Spot and Tufty. Spot and Tufty think Rudi and Trudi are their mum and dad. The mini dinosaurs are very hungry so Rudi and Trudi set off to find some food. There is nothing but rocks on the island so the pair decide to go fishing and Spot and Tufty are soon snoozing after their fishy snack. There is a volcano on the island and when the ground starts shaking, Rudi and Trudi are worried it might blow at any time. Rudi flies off to find help and Trudi stays behind to try to teach Spot and Tufty how to fly. Meanwhile Rudi spots another island. Something strange is happening on the island and Rudi quickly finds out what it is - huge grown up dinosaurs. Rudi realises he has found Spot and Tufty's parents. They all head off to the island to rescue Trudi and the baby dinosaurs. They get there just in time.
