Summary Sara goes away overnight and Pat and Julian have to cope on their own. Pat forgets his keys to the house, picks up the wrong sandwiches for lunch and creates chaos trying to make pancakes for supper. Mrs Goggins discovers that a hedgehog is stealing Bonnie's food. Pat and Amy take the hedgehog out into the countryside and set it free. The next morning Pat and Julian stop in at the PO on their way to pick up Sara. They discover that the hedgehog has returned and this time has brought its babies with it. Pat and Julian construct a special hedgehog hide for the hedgehogs to live in until the babies are bigger. When Sara arrives home Julian proudly shows her the house that he's made with Pat. Sara tells him that the hedgehog isn't the only one to have missed her baby. Aw, Mum!
