A jet pilot, Dale Robertson, find himself assigned to the barren wastes of Alaska where it becomes his duty to man an observation post.

In 310 AD, the Roman Empire is under threat by traitors within the Roman government. After continuous attacks on their northern borders by hordes of Germanic barbarians, Centurion Marcus discovers that the invaders have been supplied with Roman weapons and equipment. Proconsul Tullius Valerius suspects that Gaius Appius Quintillianus, the provincial governor of the northern Germanic states, is secretly collaborating with those barbarian chiefs plotting to end Roman rule. Valerius decides to attack the barbarians, which he knows will be heavily criticised by the senators in Rome, and puts Marcus in command of the operation. Newly promoted vice-consul Marcus, a former gladiator, and his two faithful friends must go undercover to find the truth and discover the traitors behind this treacherous plot before it's too late.

Six years later, Bradomín, now a gambler in Mexico, seduces the beautiful Niña Chole, lover of General Bermúdez, who heads the fight against the revolutionary troops in whose ranks is Captain Casares.

Jimmy O'Connor and Scotty are a couple of New York City gamblers and sharpies who decide to go straight and, since they are such good friends, split 50-50 "even steven" on anything they get or do. Jimmy, a confirmed bachelor, doesn't care for women but Scotty falls in love with Diana O'Sullivan, a Coney Island girl. They decide that Jimmy needs a girlfriend and they opt for Jeannie Cavanaugh. But, following their 50-50 pact, Jimmy, although he has fallen in love with Jeannie, praises Scotty to her. It takes an airplane ride to get everybody matched up correctly.

This fast-paced cliff hanger centers on an ancient Indian rug whose pattern provides the clues to a secret treasure.
