Summary An ancient sepulchre containing a mysterious box is discovered on the grounds of a psychiatric clinic. One of the patients escapes with it, and an ancient evil is set free and brings death. Unbeknownst to the Council, Claudius and Stephania try to find the box and prevent the wizard from being set free. Vigus reads the ancient runes and learns that a great evil is coming. Billionaire Aurel, a collector of magic lore, searches for Kirill hoping that he will help him get the magic flower of the fern. Sasha and Artur remain his hostages. Aurel's henchmen capture Maks so that he would lead them to Kirill. Kirill involuntarily finds himself in the thick of things. he is hunted by Aurel, by the Keepers of Belovodye and by Vigus who begins his own game.
