Summary In the colony of fireflies, back when fireflies were as big as humans, they did all their work at daytime because they feared the dark and the creatures of the night, especially the horrifying Hogres. Mirayon, a female firefly, was intrigued specially when she found out that visitors Epoy, Jewel and Rextor the Robot were able to stay out at night. Fearing for Mirayon's life, Manlak tried to rescue her and in darkness, he found out the use of the light emanating from their backs. And so the fireflies realized that their newfound courage and teamwork was the best defense even in the darkness of night.
