Summary While driving his custom auto to a rally, Clipper picks up a hitchhiker and lets him out at a rural gas station. Later, formidable small-town Sheriff Bardeen arrives at his motel and places Clipper under arrest. The gas station attendant, mortally wounded by an assailant, managed to identify Clipper's car with his dying breath.
