Summary The Count of Champignac invents a machine and that machine is able to transfer him into the genetic condition of his ancestors. The Count transfers into the alchemist Ebenezer of Champignac who was the owner of a formula to produce gold. The Count is producing a lot of gold and gives it to people in Champignac. The two criminals Vito Cortizone and Rupert are able to break out of jail again and they observe the Count. They both kidnap him to get his gold. It turns out that the gold is fake and the Mayor of Champignac wants to arrest the Count for cheating. In the meantime, Vito disappeared without his buddy and the fake gold. In the end, the Count is able to produce real gold and the whole city celebrates him because he gives the city a huge golden Mayor-statue as a present.
