When Unyok lost both parents to super-typhoon Ising, he lost his ability to speak. He and his family used to live in a small island with about 20 other families, but due to climate change, the sea level has become so erratic and dangerously high that the small island has become a "no-man's-land". As a disaster risk-reduction measure, the local government forcibly resettled all the families to the mainland. Now he lives in the mainland coastal village with his friends Dayday and Laila. Every low-tide they go look for clams together on the shoreline. What little income they get from selling clams they give to their father, Tibor, who does back-breaking labor in a rich man's bangus fishpond. When the girls' mother becomes seriously ill, they frantically search for clams to help their father with the increasing hospital expense. Unfortunately, the supply of clams in the mainland coastline is depleting. Trying to help, Unyok leads the girls to cross his old island just when the tide is incredibly low. They discover an abundance of clams in the deserted island. But can the children go home safely before the high tide comes back in?

A Portuguese girl arrives at the Lencois Island, in Brazil, curious about this new place surrounded by huge white sand dunes. Its residents are all descendants of King Don Sebastian, who disappeared in the 16th Century.

Father goes to an American Legion convention in Hollywood and the family goes along, visiting a studio a causing havoc on the set.

After being deceived by a small time crook with a promise of a job for his family, Bernardino Jabá (Amácio Mazzaropi), his wife Marcolina Jabá (Geny Prado), their two sons, their daughter and their Spanish friend are mistaken as being "cangaceiros" (bandits from the Northeastern of Brazil). They help the police to arrest the outlaws, but Bernardino Jabá misses and is considered dead. When he returns to the small village one year later, the locals believe that it is his soul indeed.
