Summary A political prisoner, Andrei, is sentenced to death. On the way to the place of execution, he is helped to escape. He takes refuge in an abandoned brick factory, whose "owner" is Mihai Plesa, also called "Pistruiatul", a 13-year-old boy who at first does not know what kind of man the escapee is. Because the policemen behave badly with him, Mihai does not offer them help and instead decides to help the escapee.
