Summary Dr. Barton (George Nader) is doing a series of controlled experiments in human endurance with a male subject (Bob Conrad) whose doctors have kept him on a rigorous program of diet, nutrition and exercise, plus a regimen of super-vitamins and a mysterious ingredient, the cumulative effect of all these is that the man can run a three-minute mile, and is the fastest man on the track in the world, and one of the world's strongest men. However, it proves to be too much for the test subject, and he collapses during an experiment and nearly dies. This episode was the pilot episode for this series, and is a remake of an episode from Science Fiction Theatre, titled "Three Minute Mile", 1956, in which the subject was actor Martin Milner.
