Summary Thomas builds Kurata a device to control Belphemon. Kurata can't wait to take the ancient digimon on a test-drive. He awakens Belphemon and puts him to work immediately, destroying the city. Keenan and Falcomon tell the other Data Squad members that Kurata plans to take over both the digital and human worlds. They all rush out to try to defeat him. Despite their best efforts, none of the other digimon can match up to the terrifying power of Belphemon. With no one else left to interfere, she is prepared for the surgery. She still wears a necklace that Kurata put around her neck to ensure Thomas' cooperation. Thomas is in the operating room, overseeing the procedure. But the second he is able to remove the device, he stops the operation! He further double-crosses Kurata by remotely blowing up the controlling device for Belphemon. Kurata is furious! How dare Thomas betray him? But being the evil genius that he is, Kurata has a back-up plan. He fuses himself with Belphemon, and then transforms him into Rage Mode. This Mega-level mode is even more devastating! Marcus has been relegated to baby-sitter since Agumon turned into a digi-egg. But with the action heating up, he knows he can't just stand by while his friends face Kurata alone. He puts the egg into a sling and heads on out to help in any way he can!
