1945, war behind. The eighteen-year-old sergeant Sergey Kruzhkoy after a severe wound comes back home. Having learned that in the city the gang of criminals is active, the hero decides to help law enforcement bodies - and alone begins investigation. After the first collision with bandits Sergey gets to hospital. To him there come front friends - and they together develop the action plan.

The story portrays young war-volunteers embarked in combat-aircraft training in Egypt, Syria, Iraq, China and USSR to fight during the Algerian independence war against Colonial France (1954-1962).

This film expands on the role of the Provisional Government of the Algerian Republic (GPRA) and its Ministry of Armament and General Liaisons (MALG) to supply weapons to the National Liberation Army (ALN) inside the country.

Wendell exposes false claims of prosperity and teaches his lost children how to produce their life into theatre.

In a trip that stretches across the width of the country, the film-maker, Nicole Nagel, discovers a people bonded together by a unique unity in purpose, driven by their love for their country and their faith in doing the right thing.
