Summary One morning, the bear brothers wake up to find that all the trees are labeled with Logger Vick's name cards. Vick tells them that everything with his name card on it belongs to him, so he can cut down any labeled trees as he wishes. Bramble can't do anything but watch him destroy the forest. Briar comes up with a plan. He goes to the lakeside and covers his paw prints with mud. Then he leaves his paw prints all over Vick's truck, as a gesture of taking over the ownership of the truck. The labeling war begins.
